Locating Nursing Journal Articles with Specific Geographic Locations

Do you need to locate an article from a nursing journal which needs to be current and from a specific geogrpahic location? No problem - EBSCO CINAHL Plus with Full Text can handle that.

From the Library Home page, select Online Databases from the left hand side of the page. If you are off-campus, be sure to click on the gray area at the top of the page which states The links below are for on-campus computers only. If you are using a computer off-campus, please use this link instead.
Then scroll down to the center of the page and click on EBSCO. Select full text journals. Select CINAHL PLUS with Full Text and continue.

Here is an example: We need to locate articles on knee replacements that are from a Nursing Journal and from America.

Sometimes, it's a good idea to have more specific terminology within the Nursing field. To do this, use CINAHL Headings.
To start the search, let's click on CINAHL Headings within CINAHL Plus to see the medical terminology for knee replacement.

This is what your screen will look like:  Click on CINAHL Headings



Now add your search term(s).



This screen shows the results:


Now we have several different terms to search with arthroplasty, replacement, knee and knee replacement.

Now click on New Search at the very top left of the screen. Next, click on Advanced Search.

Before you add your search terms, scroll down to the area of the page that says Journal Subset and choose Core Nursing, then scroll to the area that says Geographic Subset and select USA.



Then add your search terms and choose full text and then add the dates as below:



Here are the results:
